Brief Presentation of the Project

The project aims to design, develop, and test an integrated system for efficient waste recovery. This includes a prototype burner powered by green hydrogen to be used in aluminium recycling. Green hydrogen, produced from an existing photovoltaic installation, is utilized as a clean fuel for this application.

Objectives

  • Install and manage a production, storage, and utilization unit for hydrogen generated by a new facility (financed by external resources outside the project).
  • Develop a design and engineering tool for hydrogen production and utilization systems and validate it experimentally.
  • Model and optimize the operating conditions of a hydrogen-powered burner.
  • Develop and test a burner capable of achieving high temperatures.
  • Apply the burner in an industrial context: an aluminium can recycling unit.
  • Develop mathematical models to describe the system
